Stone & Flesh
A short film
Set in Paris, this French New Wave-inspired film follows a woman as she learns to trust herself in love again. Shot in black and white, it navigates the raw and shifting terrain of her emotions, where longing, seduction, and self-reckoning intertwine. Stripping away her inner turmoil, she searches for renewal; the moment when love ceases to be a memory and becomes breath in her lungs again.
Filmmaker Valeria Sarto captures the aching beauty of transformation on Super 8 film with a deeply intimate, poetic gaze.
